1980 C-337-H Model Skymaster II HISTORY: All original, first owner a construction company for a fee years and a few hundred hours. The second owner was the State of Mississippi Forestry Department.Flown exclusively by the chief pilot, the Skymaster was the lead aircraft in a MI State seventeen airplane fleet. I bought the Skymaster at the State of Mississippi"s sealed bid sale. No pre-buy, No test flight never having heard the engines run. After a good pre flight, an airline pilot friend flew it from Jackson MI to my home base Poughkeepsie, NY, 6.0 Hrs, non stop, no problems. The log books and visual inspection said it all! At 1,500 hours the State removed the perfectly good running engines and installed two new factory remanufactured engines and overhauled propellers. All fluid bearing hoses were replaced as well as were many other items. Maintenance was kept at a high standard. It"s all in the logs. Along with my graduate engineer IA, who has maintained and preformed major modifications on four Skymasters, two pressurized, two normally aspirated, we kept the maintenance at a high standard to this day. The Skymaster lived its whole life hangered until three years ago. The Skymaster is currently located at KLNA, Lantana, FL. until approximately 3-30-16. it will then return to my home base KPOU Poughkeepsie, NY. A great traveling machine and IFR platform. Easy and enjoyable to fly, Twin engine safety , flys like a C-150 on one engine.
CURRENT TIMES: 2,873 TT, AF 1.410 TT SFRM Front and rear. Front prop 349 SMOH, rear prop 387 SMOH. Both prop governors overhauled recently. One rear cylinder replaced early on in the new remanfactured engines life. No internal engine repairs necessary since then. Annual 3-1-16. CURRENT EQUIPMENT: B F Goodrich Century compass system, with glide slope, VOR, heading bug and auto pilot bug, etc.Grmin GNS- 430, non waas.King KX-155 Nav Com with Glidelope.King KN-624 DME400A Autopilot, coupled, three axis with alt. hold.ELT, Inc. 406 GPS, ELT.DC intercomHot propPilot windshield Hot PlateCessna pilot seat secondary seat stop device.Comm button, ident button, A/P disconnect, trim disconnect, on yoke.
