MAINTENANCE IA ENGINE LOG NOTE AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE 3-13-2015 ANNUAL: This entry is to declare that the time since overhaul is unknown There are receipts and inspection reports which indicate that this engine was overhauled at the end of 2013. There is however, no entry or sign-off of the overhaul. Giving consideration to the previous ownership and how detailed the available records are, it is my opinion that this engine was in fact overhauled at the first TBO of 2000 hrs, at the end of 2013. If this is true, then the current TSO is 722.04 (tach 2722.04). For logbook entries the TSO is officially "Unknown". The case is original, so that makes the TTSN: 2722.04 (Tod Tarlton IA 3888405591A)
Personal note: After trim 77CT flies true with a fuel flow of between 13-16 gph, TAS has been between 150-160 knots, the control pressure required is exceptionally light and the aircraft is very responsive to pilot input. With a single pilot onboard it has made the 815nm distance from KEKM to T78 in 4.6 hrs with an avg ground speed of 190mph. The T-Tail produced no negative handling issues and in fact has a positive effect in a missed approach/go around scenario. The more narrow wheel base produced no ground handling, or crosswind landing issues. Overall it is one of the few aircraft which can deliver the performance advertised in the POH. If your moving into 77CT from any Cessna or Piper it"s going to have the feel of a P51. Rob Burner CFII, 574-326-8211
