This will be an auction for a 1984 Tierra II (T-Bird 2) with a Rotax 532 DCDI. The original 532 was a single ignition engine. For safety a secondary Electronic Ignition System was added to the engine. It provides a smoother running engine and provides an extra 100 rpm at takeoff. The spring maintenance on the engine and airframe has just been completed and it is ready to go. The redrive is by belt reduction with a centrifugal clutch that disengages at idle. This drive provides for very easy preflight inspections, easy engine starts and much smoother engine idle (no gearbox oscillations). All of the carrier bearings in the redrive have just been replaced with upgraded models. The airframe was refurbished about 3 years ago at which time it was recovered with the Poly-Fiber system. The flight performance has improved with the new covering. The takeoff is shorter and the climb-out is better than with the original covering type. The airframe has minor hanger rash that has been touched up or repaired as needed. It is a 2-place airframe that is currently setup for a single large pilot. It could very easily be changed back to a 2 place with a change out of rudder pedals. If you have any questions let me know and I will get back to you ASAP.
