The RV4 was built after the RV3 was introduced to share the experience of flying. The RV4 holds two people and a moderate amount of baggage. Flown from the front seat only, there is a stick in the back for the passenger to have a little fun. An excellent cross country machine, many couples routinely use the airplane as a long distance time machine. The ability to land at virtually any airport, the RV4 is capable of crossing half of North America in a day. This is a project, aircraft needs repairs to be airworthy again. Rebuild it, use as parts, or maybe as a store front display. Airframe Total Time: 862.07 S/N: 197 N165DR Being sold without the engine or avionics... While attempting to land aircraft struck a taxiway sign and several edge marker lights causing the left gear leg to fold back. There is damage and holes punctured into the left wing and belly. Firewall and engine mount (gear leg attachment) will need to be replaced. Since this plane is pretty much sheet metal and rivots the repairs are straight forward. There is a puncture underneath the the left hand wing that is next to the spar, it appears to be only the skin and not the spar. This area will need to be looked at more closely.
