AIRFRAME : Only 115 hours on a very well built airframe. There are a few places of hangar rash that do not effect the flight characteristics at all. The covering is in great shape and passes punch test with flying colors but the paint has bubbled in a few places. It was sanded in those spots and covered with outdoor grade adhesive vinyl. All in all though, it looks really good and flies great. The Scott 3200 tailwheel assembly and wide Grove Aluminum gear legs make it handle extremely well on the ground. There are full controls including brakes in both cockpits. New Tailwheel springs and tire were just installed. It has dual tanks for extened flight, one header tank, one overhead wing tank. Condition inspection performed May 2016 and good through end of May, 2017.
ENGINE: ONLY 105 hours since major overhaul on the 200hp Lycoming IO-360-A1B engine with constant speed Hartzell prop. Engine runs EXTREMELY well with minimal oil weeps and virtually no consumption. It has both inverted fuel and oil systems installed as well as an air/oil separation system. Compression numbers at last Condition Inspection were 74/76/68/72.
AVIONICS: There is a Becker ATR500 radio and Becker ATC2000 Transponder installed. The radio was just sent out for service due to a high pitched tone when the push to talk button was depressed. It was returned from the shop with no problems found but the high pitched tone is still there. The avionics shop said it"s just a wire crossed somewhere or a bad ground but I have not and will not be taking it in for service.
COMMENTS: This is a great flying plane with extremely low hours and a highly desireable engine/prop combination. It has extremely docile flight characteristics due to the lightweight engine and wide gear legs. If you can fly a Citabria, you can fly this one.
