Description of accident - Half the wooden prop broke off during flight and vibrated / shook the aircraft somewhat severely. Pilot did an outstanding job of getting the aircraft on the ground and landed on back road in the country. There was some Certified Thermal Imaging performed on the composite spars and major structural components including firewall. From what I can tell from reading the report, there were no anomalies reported. At the same time, the thermal camera was not able to get into every crook and nanny to get a complete synopsis, so there is still some unknown! I did notice when we removed the engine, the engine mount broke from the vibration and even bent the flange on the crank. :(
S/N of aircraft is DMO250Registration number is - N18KTTotal time on this airframe with approx 200 hoursI do not have the logs to prove the time, this is just going off the Insurance companies paperwork!
