“In excellent condition. Always stored in a hangar, runs great, wing fabric in good strong condition. BRS Ballistic Parachute. A great example of a newer Model 40 Weedhopper.”
Make: Weedhopper Model Year: 2002
This Weedhopper is in great shape. I do not fly it enough and in needs a new pilot. It flies great and is a blast to fly. Has a BRS-5 Model 750 emergency parachute which expired last year so it needs a repack.Has CHT and EGT gauges and both a lower analog RPM gauge and a tiny tac up at the top. Also has compass in the top gauge cluster and Altimeter, however the altimeter died a few years back and I never replaced it. GPS took care of that for me. The plane is plumbed for a airspeed indicator with pitot tubes mounted on starboard side leading edge but I never installed the ASI. I ran it last weekend and it was very happy. Message me and I can send you video links of it running and of me flying it. I have gone through the entire aircraft and it is solid in my opinion. You however should go through it again with a "i just bought a flying machine and I have to make sure its safe or it could kill me" preflight inspection before attempting to fly. With that said, I cannot think of a single reason why you would be disappointed with it. Its the best one I have ever seen in person.
