Up for bid is my 2008 Sonex Tri-gear Experimental Aircraft
with the Aerovee engine. I have owned this plane for 3 years, and unfortunately
have only put around 5 hours on it. Shortly after purchase while going through
condition inspection, it was noted that a couple of cylinders were low on
compression. I wanted to do some upgrades to the exhaust and the fuel delivery
system, so I decided to pull the engine and do an overhaul. At the time, I was
working out of state and commuting home when I could, so it took me quite a
while to accomplish the engine rebuild and upgrades. I completed the engine about
3 months ago, and unfortunately have struggled with it since. Since hanging the re-built engine, I have had
issues with fuel delivery and ignition. I have been able to run the engine for
break-in for about an hour, and it ran great, but the aeroinjector had to be
manually choked to get it started. Now I have developed an ignition issue that
needs addressed, I know that it will not take too much to get her airworthy but
I just don’t have the time or money to spend on it anymore. I am able to assist in pulling the wings for
transport. The airframe has just over 300 hours, and is straight and beautiful.
No corrosion and no damage or damage history. I have the original plans, and
all technical documentation, along with log books. The Sonex is a joy to fly.
Stable, yet very agile when commanded to maneuver. I will sell all extra parts I have with the
airplane, along with an extra Sensinich Propeller, which is around $1000 - $1200.
I have over 30k invested in this aircraft, and I am selling with NO RESERVE! This aircraft has the Sratomaster EFIS and an ICOM portable
VHF radio. The aircraft was set up for VFR daytime operations. There is no
transponder or lights installed. It is my understanding that this aircraft
meets the light-sport specifications. Now the details. This aircraft is sold AS-IS/WHERE IS as a
project aircraft. The buyer will be solely responsible for inspecting the
aircraft prior to purchase, and solely responsible for pick up and transport of
the aircraft and associated parts. I will in no way incur any costs in
transport, shipping, or storing of the aircraft. Buyer is responsible for pick
up in Indianapolis, IN. within 10 days after auction end. I need
to vacate the hangar, so I can’t store the aircraft for you. Please contact me
through Ebay messaging with any questions, or 317-513-8246 between 9am-9pm EST. I require a $500.00 non-refundable deposit via Paypal within
24 hours after auction end. The balance will be due via wire transfer,
certified bank funds, or cash before, or at the time of aircraft pick up. Current date: 2017-10-02
