“Initially built for City of Pampano Beach Florida. Heavy duty Military style trailer. Have used for Aviation fuel for last 6 years. Could be used for Kerosene, Diesel AUCTION INCLUDES APPROXIMATELY 375 GALLONS OF AVGAS THAT WAS PURCHASED IN FEBRUARY, 2015”
Model Year: Aviation Fuel Trailer/ Refueler 400 Gallon Cap.
This is a heavy duty fuel trailer that I have used for Aviation Fuel for the last 6 years. It was originally made for City of Pompano Beach Florida and is one of a kind as far as I know. Holds 400 Gallons of fuel. It presently has approximately 375 gallons of Aviation 100 LL in the tank. The fuel was purchased in February 2015. Everything works. Has a sump. Rewind ground. Have never had any issues with water or trash. It is a plastic fuel tank. No rust. Has approximately 40 ft of fuel hose with an Automatic shutoff Nozzle. Safety chains.THE FUEL IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE AUCTION $1500+ OF FUELHas a PINTLE type trailer hitch. This is the 3 " round coupler generally seen with government or heavy hauling. You can buy this type hitch at Walmart for about $30. The pump is a 20 GPM pump and Meter and both run fine . Some of the numbers are hard to read on the fuel meter but it does work. Particulate filter. It is run by a 12 Volt automotive battery and has a trickle charger attached to the battery. The battery is new. (2 months Old) Trailer lights work. Has an aluminum storage box on the back of the trailer for the battery and other items. The tires are large for a trailer of this size. See the picture that describes the tire size. (Tire Size LT 235/85 RI, Tube 7.00/7.50 - 16 LT.) Not sure when tires put on trailer. They have good tread and I have never had any issues with them. I pulled the trailer from Pompano Beach Florida to Atlanta Ga. Has a heavy duty solid front wheel and jack that swings up and out of the way when being moved. The cable that is supposed to retract the hose up is broken but I have always wrapped the hose on the front of the trailer. The first few pictures are the trailer and container. Picture of the ground rewind and the aluminum storage box. Then several are from underneath the trailer. A couple of pictures of the axle, spring and wheel. Next shows the bolt that is holding down the corner of the container. The container sits on 3 X Beams (look like flat U bolts) that are 6" wide. There is a layer of rubber and then the container sits on top of that. There is a bolt from each corner of the container. Also a picture looking from front to rear that shows the main beam that is attached at the center of the trailer and comes forward to attach to the Pintle hitch. The Pipe to the left of the main beam is the sump drain that drains from the left center of the container and has a drain cutoff valve at the front edge of the trailer. Then pictures of the pump, filter, cut off handle, battery and tire size. The airport where I was hangared sold out to developers and I moved to the next closest private airport but that was not a practical solution. I have just sold my plane and I am selling the fuel trailer. I can give you a clean bill of sale. There is no VIN# or trailer ID tag or number on the trailer. It is one of a kind and was made specifically for the City of Pompano Beach Roads Dept. specifications, so doesn"t have usual ID #Just a little research will show that a new trailer with this capacity is > $5000. That is with no fuel. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thanks for looking.
