This is a complete rolling(taildragger) airframe with cowl(top cowl not show in pics). Plane was never registered so you could be the builder of record and do your own annual inspections and repair = SAVE MONEY!!
Fuselage, wings and tail are all built. Needs paint, engine, engine mount, lighting and panel to be completed. Panel is partially complete with six pack instruments some of which probably need to be serviced.
No radios or nav. equip. Panel also has basic engine, fuel and electrical monitoring gauges and switches mounted in.
Besides needing an engine the main thing that needs to be done is repair the fuel tank section of the wings. This plane and wings was never flown but as those familiar with the BD-4 know they can start to leak. A previous owner applied an internal sealant("sloshing compound") but it"s all falling off. So you will need to find a way to ensure the tanks are sealed. There are many different ways this has been done and I can discuss those with you.
Also included with the plane are a set of wing extensions. You can add about 2.5 feet(or less) to each wing with these. Lower your stall and landing speed. No log books.
