“Aircraft was acquired new by United Airlines in 1980. Its maintenance and upkeep were done byregulated standards under the FAA and United Airlines. It was sold in 2002 and was put intomaintenance at Aero Sky Facilities in San Antonio, Texas. Powered by JT8D-17 engines whichare the strongest engines of its class, the aircraft was sought after by a European commercialcarrier. Modifications were done to meet European specifications such as TCAS, RVSM,8.33Mhz Spacing etc.The current owner purchased the aircraft in November 2006 and in 2007 was inducted intoRomaero's facility for heavy maintenance. The engines have undergone full refurbishment, doneby JAT TEHNIKA Belgrade. Upon maintenance work completion, all checks are up to date, withno AD/SB still opened.” |
