Here"s a BRAND NEW in the Boxes Rotorway Helicopter. Owned by a World War Pilot But didn"t have the time to finish his dream. Label as a Experimental aircraft Rotorway it was ever finish, because of health reasons. Now it will some one elses vision,and dream... purchase in the late 80s. This Rotorway is in the mostly in Original packaging boxes all boxes are numbered and include the corresponding packing and parts lists. From opening the boxes it looks most of the parts are still in the original packing or plastic bags and have not been open. These are also number. the fiberglass cab body is in six parts and needs to be fiberglassed together with the dash board This also has dual controls that can be flown from either side. The Helicopter came in Kit 1 - Includes Air frame landing gear air frame brackets and engine mounts. Kit 2 includes -Body windshield trim finish kit cabin insert panel dash board instruments and seat covers. The body includes the floor pan. My father even had the purchased the option Doors. Also included is the original is the Factory assembly Parts manual tech infor ( numberous drawings pictures, and the blueprints ) All the parts have been stored in a dry building since New, but there is some minor lite surface rust on the unpainted welded up frame and a couple of minor parts. This can be easily removed. Everything is new in the box, for this 2- seater ....Helicopter..all brackets, pulleys, Radiator, Gas tank, hoses, belts, Rotors and parts, instrument package.This is only the second time the blades have been remove from the boxes to take pictures..Even all the protective plastic sheeting is still on the blades,...Oops...The camera batterys went dead trying to get pictures....forgot the change the date...now... you know the date the camera was purchased... Kit 3 This was ever purchased..the motor....Even know where an original New Motor is if you wanted it ..Rotorway still has the 162 motor available for this if thats the way you want to go..The way to go today would be the Subaru car engine either the 2.2 or 2.5 everyone tell me...any are cheap to purchase--and rebuilt ones run --1900--3600.00 Newer Rotorway Helicopters sell for more than 100,000 today. This Rotorway Scorpion 2 would make a nice project for someone. You could build it for profit $$ or for Yourself . Anyone having has had experience with building thinks or rebuilding or restoring cars,and other air craft, machining or just about anything mechanical can put this together...Its like painting by the numbers.....Very easy to put together with all the Factory manuals. My Dad has done all the hard work by cutting out all the parts, putting them together and welding them. the frame is mostly done motor stand, tail section, even with the landing gear. The tail is just tag on so could be removed for shipping...About 25 Boxes 1000lbs...and a frame..would crate for a fee and bring it to the dock ...or just pick-it up by like with a car trailer would do it .
