“Aircraft completely rebuilt after previous owner had a hard landing.” |
Make: | Challenger II Ultralight | Model Year: | 2008 |
--- After buying we discovered a slight bend in a beam above the fuel tank, decided it could be a problem for stability and so purchased a BRAND NEW Challenger II fuselage with all new hardware inside, as well as new fabric and a new fuel tank.
---Had the engine looked over by a mechanic and it runs beautifully, its the 503 with dual carb, electric start, alternator, ducati wiring harness, etc, put in new fuel lines and new plugs as well. Old tach in the plane shows 7 hrs before he installed a tiny tach with 21 hours on it, so 28 hours total. Put on new exhaust springs as well and safety wired those.
---Tennessee prop inspected and all bolts properly torqued and safety wired.
---Installed a new Quad City nose cone kit, wing gap cover kit and a new windshield, all from a certified quad city dealer.
---New landing gear and support wires, professionally aligned by a mechanic so it tracks straight and true down the runway.
---New seats and 3-point seatbelts, back seat still needs shoulder harnesses installed but we decided to leave it up to the new owner on whether to put it in.
---Comes with a Sporty"s handheld radio valued at $499 new as well as an ELT that"s still in the bag.
---Wings are sail cloth except for the very end wingtips where new wing tips were installed and polyfiber was put as a cover. (it will be clear in the pictures)
---all control surfaces are from the original and were inspected, as well as the dash and instruments. TACH and RPM indicator are INOP on dash but the Tiny Tach fulfills those roles.
--- Only real blemish is some slight overspray on nosecone in one spot, which can be seen in the pictures, and some very light overspray speckle on horizontal stabilizer (spray paper blew off) but overall a very nice paint job done with superflite paint system as well as polyfiber fabric treatment. I just want to be honest so as to have no surprises when receiving aircraft.
---A complete new hardware kit from QUAD City was used for all mounting bolts, pins, etc!
---Checked out and approved of by an AP mechanic and flies like a champ.
---Any questions don"t hesitate to message me or call 704-692-6149 Johnathan
---Good luck bidding!
