Up for auction is a 1980"s Cobra "A model" ultralight by advanced engineering. It is constructed from aluminum tubing, dacron sails and stainless steel support cables and is in good condition. The cuyuna engine runs good. This ultralight is not airworthy at the moment because the fabric on the trailing edge of the main wings have a couple of small tears that were caused during transit. Once repaired this is a nice flying ultralight. It has a 3 axis control system, spoilerons, elevator and rudder. It has an optional steerable nose wheel with a brake. It has a 430 cuyuna direct drive two stroke piston aircraft engine that produces 30 hp, that is mated to a planetary reduction gear. The engine is cooled by a fan forced air system. It runs on regular gas and oil mixture of 40:1 ratio. It has a composite 3 bladed fixed pitch prop . Empty weight is 218 lbs, gross weight is 468 lbs, maximum pilot weight is 250 lbs. It has a 5 gal. capacity with optional wing tanks. wing span is 35 ft., wing area is 160 sq. ft., cruise speed is 50 mph, stall speed is 25 mph, vne is 75 mph. Has air speed indicator, altimeter and cylinder head temp gauges. I purchased this ultralight in Indiana and I"m the third owner.
