Curtiss Jenny 2/3 scale airplane. This plane was built in 1992 by Walter Treadwell, and carries serial number 3. It has dual controls and full instrumentation. The engine is a 58 horsepower Rotax, with gear reduction and electric start. I"m not sure if it"s a 582 or 583. The plane needs some attention. I bought it recently, hoping I could convert it to qualify for ultralight status, but it"s too heavy to make that practical. I don"t have a license to fly LSA aircraft. According to the previous owner, the plane had a rough landing in a field in 2003 that caused minor damage to the wings and landing gear. He stored the plane and put whatever it is you"re supposed to put in the engine to store it. It turns freely and looks to be in good shape. Two of the wings were stored poorly and need to be rebuilt. I"m not an airplane expert but will try to answer any questions you have, or will refer you to the previous owner. Additional photos available on request.
