Curtiss Jenny 2/3 scale airplane, WITHOUT ENGINE. This plane was built in 1992 by Walter Treadwell, and carries serial number 3. I"m selling the fuselage, tail feathers, wings, seats, struts, cables, etc. The total time on the airframe appears to be in the 170 hour range. The plane needs some attention. I bought it a couple months ago hoping I could convert it to qualify for ultralight status, but it"s too heavy to make that practical. I don"t have a license to fly LSA aircraft. According to the previous owner, the plane had a rough landing in a field in 2003 that caused minor damage. He stored the wings carelessly, so the two lower wings need new leading edge spars and repairs to the ribs or replacement of them altogether. and recovering. I saved the six metal parts that connect the leading edge to the struts. The upper wings have minor damage to the trailing edges. As pictured, the plane has a Rotax engine in it, but I"m going to sell that separately unless someone wants to make an offer for the whole package.I"m not an airplane expert but will try to answer any questions you have, or will refer you to the previous owner.
