Curtiss Jenny 2/3 scale airplane. This plane was built in 1992 by Walter Treadwell, and carries serial number 3. Sale includes the engine, fuselage, tail feathers, wings, seats, struts, cables, landing gear, log book, spare windshield plexiglass, etc. The total time on the airframe appears to be in the 170 hour range, the engine about 65. The landing gear needs minor repairs, and the fuselage fabric has a few holes and other minor defects.The plane needs some attention. I bought it a couple months ago hoping I could convert it to qualify for ultralight status, but it"s way too heavy to make that practical, and I don"t have a license to fly LSA aircraft. According to the previous owner, the plane had a rough landing in a field in 2003 that caused minor damage to the wing trailing edges. He stored them carelessly, so the two lower wings need new leading edge spars and repairs to the ribs or replacement of the ribs altogether. and would also need to be recovered. I saved the six metal parts that connect the leading edge to the struts. The upper wings appear to be okay except for minor damage to the trailing edge - see picture.The plane has a Rotax grey head engine in it, 66 HP.
