Someone is going to get a real deal with N2112H, SN: 2735. This is an Ercoupe 415E. It is not Light Sport as the gross weight is
1400 lbs. Two brothers, one a United
Captain, worked on this Ercoupe for the last 5 years, rebuilding her from
a bucket of parts. The C-85 engine was
completely overhauled ($14,000) and has only taxi time. The magnetos are both new as is the harness
($2500). The carburetor was overhauled by the “Stromberg Specialist”
($900). The fuel pump was
overhauled. The generator was overhauled. All the rod end bearing are new. THERE IS NO CORROSION. The inspection plates have been installed in
the wings. Logs from 1946. She starts
and runs like a top! The paint and
interior are both fair to poor. The
skins are very straight. Metal wings. There are no
dents in the leading edge and the firewall does not have wrinkles. All the tires are new. The windows need work
but are passable. Micro-Mesh or Flitz
will clean them up well. Cruise at 110 mph burning 5 gph or sightsee at 70 mph burning 3.5 gph. In the photos
the air intake is not attached as a filter is on order. There are no radios but
the antennas are all there as is the coax.
One brother passed away and the surviving brother does not want to keep
the aircraft. The plane was about to go
in for its first annual inspection just before he passed. It is out of license and is being sold that
way. You can bring your mechanic and do
the annual but there are limited facilities at the airport (no hangar). Or, pull the wings and trailer it home
(better idea). Winner bidder must send
$1500 deposit within 48 hours of auction close and the balance within 14 days. PayPal
preferred. Come inspect prior to bidding
is recommended. You could sell the
engine alone for the buy-it-now price! Bidders with negative or no feedback
must contact seller prior to bidding or bid will be removed. Plane is located at 3NJI, Pemberton, NJ.
Call Glen at 917 297 1111 for an appointment. If you are not completely satisfied with the aircraft when you come pick it up, your deposit will be fully refunded.
Some additional information: This aircraft has not been flown in more than 20 years. It has been out of license for at least that long. You should expect a good IA doing the annual to find a few things that need to be addressed. This aircraft was a project for the last 8 years for the brothers and while it is almost ready, I would still call it a project. The Airworthiness Certificate is missing from the paperwork so it is the buyers responsibility to get a new one. From my personal experience, I believe the FAA will want to do an inspection on the aircraft before issuing a new Airworthiness Certificate based on the time since the last annual.
