“Maintenance was kept up to date and receipts will show, all the way leading up to the accident in late 1990's.” |
Make: | EAA Biplane | Model Year: | 1967 |
Includes ALL paperwork dating back to the builder in 1967. Aircraft log book, prop log book, engine log book, original plans, documents and notes with build log, and folder and folder of other paperwork including receipts. I have separated the paperwork by years and put them in binders with covering to keep it safe. I also have some scanned and in file format.
This EAA Biplane is truly a historical Gem.
The aircraft was hit by a Drunk Driver who was an airport worker. He hit the lower left wing with his fuel truck. Kind of just looks like a quick bump because the damage isn"t that bad from the looks (Have the NTSB Report). I have had a few A&Ps look at it and they said they could get it fixed in a weekend. The wing will need to have the covering removed to fully assess the damage. The fuselage has a few bent tubes (small pinches) and will need replaced and re-welded. I have the materials to fix these, brand new from Aircraft Spruce. Can take additional pictures upon request.
If you have any questions I will answer them to the best of my knowledge. There is A lot of paperwork with this guy, which is good, and it will show you what, when, how, and by who the parts were installed by and anything that can be useful. An aircraft with detailed paperwork including receipts is something valuable and rare with plan built aircraft this old.
Engine details displayed in log book picture posted.
This project is perfect for the at home builder who wants to get a prized gem in the air without TONS of money and TIME. I have a family and a needy full time job that makes me travel, so it didnt quite work for my situation.
