OK, here goes: I live in a small town near Chilliwack B.C Canada, in my current ranch where I have lived - just 6 farms over from me there was a man who was a bit of a legend around these parts. He used to build these Gold wing aircraft and worked in the summer as an Aircraft mechanic ( 1975 - 85) and in the winter as a ski instructor. This Complete Gold wing aircraft you see in the pictures was his personal flyer. He was well known as everyone around here knew who it was buzzing the neighbors farms. Around 1986 his family suffered a loss of a child and soon after the family broke up and they went there own ways. The farm was left abandoned, airplanes and all. The kids grew up and the farm was eventually rented out to a disabled person - to live out his days. He had no interest in Aircraft so the barn was left as-is since 1986ish. My wife and I moved here in 2006 after I retired from the Air force and getting to know the neighbors we heard about the rumors about John and the Aircraft. The Farm that was rented out has become decrepit and old vehicles, engines were lying around, everything overgrown, and later we found out that the Guy who kept to himself , with no electricity - the renter turns out , was a hoarder - like what you see on Tv and he Died in 2014. The Estate by then had been overgrown so bad that a person could not get near the barn for prickle bushes were 30 feet thick. The decision was made and the farm went up for sale. 2015 a young family buys the farm and makes plans to bulldoze everything and build a new house. I approached them and told the story of the Aircraft in the barn. A large excavator moves in and starts excavating. As the barn pickle buses were cleared - I was the first to look inside the Barn in over 30 years. What did i see !..... Johns Flyer Gold wing and enough parts for almost 3 more kits. I struck a deal with the new property owners as they had no interest in Aircraft and removed everything related to this Aircraft. I left the dust on the Flyer Airplane as you see in the pictures... AS I found it. I could have cleaned and shined it up but it lends to credibility when you can see 30 years of Barn dust . There is 1000`s of new parts, in bags, labelled , X3 spare carburetors, Fuel pumps, 2 new sets of Wing spars, a mostly completed 2nd fuselage with rough terrain landing gear more, more, and more, lots of everything. I have the manuals that shows how to build this aircraft, Balance the C of G , and how to fly it . Included is everything you see, even the original Gold wing purchase order for one aircraft - $7595. The Assembled aircraft in the pictures I personally Taxied around my yard ( just to see if it would) and it does. Engine runs good.... even after 30 years, it started first pull . The Aircraft is designed to disassemble in minutes, everything is quick disconnect. This aircraft does NOT require a license to fly. It will be sold as is where is, just like I got it. I will work with the buyer for pick up. You will need at least a car trailer to load all the parts, fuselages, wings. You tube has several videos of this aircraft flying. Performance is as follows: Engine is a Cayuna 2 cylinder 30 HP , Rate of climb: 1200 Ft/min ,Cruise: 55 MPH , take off: 100 Ft, Landing Roll : 120 ft. Instrumentation: EGT , Altimeter , RPM, Turn and Bank, Compass.This would be a very easy to get this Aircraft in Flyable shape again and a person "Could build" two more Aircraft.
