“In good condition EXCEPT: there is dry-rot on a 5" piece of the main fuel line. Would be a simple fix, but I encourage having an aircraft mechanic do any repairs. I know of no other problems with the gyro.”
Make: Joe Souza Gyroplane Model Year: 2001
Have a fully assembled, operational, Gyrocopter for sale. I am located in Piedmont, SD 57769. Here is a link to the same brand/model of new ones that provide the specs here
I have not flown it now for several years. It has been kept in our machine shop and never outside. Since it has not been flown in awhile, I highly suggest having an aircraft mechanic "go through" the aircraft before flying. The only known issue is there is dry-rot on a 5" piece of the main fuel line. Would be a simple fix, but again I encourage having an aircraft mechanic do any repairs. This will be sold "As is" and includes ONLY the gyro, rotor blade, books and documentation, some instruments, some misc parts etc. This does not include a trailer. You would need your own trailer. Works well to haul in an 8" X 13" ATV trailer. I do have some home-made items to help secure it to an 8" X 13" ATV trailer that I will give with the purchase. I sold this on ebay a couple of years ago and the winning buyer backed-out because he "thought" the trailer was included. The winning bid was from a guy in West Virginia and he won at $4351, he backed out! He said he thought the trailer was included. I never indicated my trailer was included. He said it was in one of the pictures on eBay. I looked and sure enough, it was in the background of one of the pictures. I think he had an impulse bid and then after he won, he wondered what to do with it… SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY! This will be sold "As is" and includes ONLY the gyro, rotor blade, books and documentation, some instruments, some misc parts etc. This does not include a trailer. This is a cool machine. I bought it from a doctor in MN eight years ago. At that time it had a new rotor and new blades. They are still like new. There are some instruments installed in it now and there are some extra instruments that could be installed, that will be included with it. Since it has been so long since we took it out, I cannot recall all of the instruments and extras that are in the accessories, but there are some. This is in the FAA category of ultralight and to the best of my knowledge, no pilot license is required. If you google and read about gyrocopters, they are among the most safe aircraft every made. If you get the proper instruction from an experienced gyro pilot (there are schools in IA and UT that I have heard about), you will have a blast flying this. Again, selling as is with no warranty. Includes ONLY the gyro, rotor blade, books and documentation, some instruments, some misc parts etc. This does not include a trailer. Be safe!
