This aircraft was purchased by the Morey Aircraft Company in 1946. After the inital test flight it was turned over to Sylvester (Steve) Wittman who flew it and maintained it for the next 6 years. His name is all over the log books. I bought this aircraft in a barn in Ohio for its historical value and have since repaired and recovered the wings, stripped it to bare metal and repainted it. I replaced the broken tail wheel bracket and it has all new tires.Numerous other things have been done. The inside needs to be done with a new interior. The instrument panel needs to be put together. It has a radio and transponder and all of the instruments except the airspeed indicator. The aircraft was parked inside in 1996 and I purchased it in 2007. It has been inside ever since. The airframe hours are 1681 and the engine has been changed to an O-200 with 322 SMOH. Any other info I can be contacted by email or at 210-722-3166. This is a cash only deal.
