Plans built Jurca P-51 Mustang replica with Ranger V-770 V-12 engine. A lot of the major work has been completed. This is the high performance model which means the main spar is bigger than the standard model and there is also carbon fiber integrated within the fuselage. All of the control surfaces are completed and hinged. The landing gear mounts are installed in the wing also. The plane is designed around a big block V8 engine with a maximum HP rating of 800. The Ranger engine fully dressed weighs 40lbs lighter than a fully dressed big block chevy and makes 580 HP reliably. Best of all its and aircraft engine complete with prop drive, magneto, supercharger, and carburetor.

Engine mount, dog house, engine cowlings, wing tips, wing root fairings, prop, spinner, instruments, radios, seat, windshield glass, canopy frame, main gear wheels, brakes, fuel tanks, starter

This project is definitely not for the faint of heart, but its a great start towards a very unique replica. Too many airplanes and projects, thinning them out.
