“stored for over 6 years”
Make: LAZAIR II Model Year: est. 1982
Has not flown in over 6 years and may require some maintenance. There has been many upgrades including wider landing gear, larger Rotax engines, lower pivited control stick, castering tailwheel, thru the Wing engine mount bolts, toe operated wheel brakes, etc. It has been recovered with DuraFilm Super One. The Rudders and wing tips are covered is Stits Poly-Fiber fabric. I have many extra parts, tools, manuals, etc. I will be available to lend assistance if needed after sale. Every aircraft should be carefully examined before every flight. Wings are easily removed for transport and can be quickly reattached at the airport or other launch site. Comes with an enclosed trailer for transport. No license is required to fly this aircraft under the FAA part 103 ruling which governs Ultralights and Amateur-Built Aircraft. The Lazair with it"s twin gasoline engines and long wings is a very safe aircraft. And it is a lot of fun to fly. Just about anyone can safely learn to fly this ultralight. Also it could be converted to all electric and pontoons can be purchased for landing and takeoff on water and as shown on youtube.com under "ELECTRIC LAZAIR".
As with any flying machine, you should be qualified to inspect the product or bring a person to inspect for you. Continued maintenance should be expected; tires wear, break pads eventually need replacing, spark plugs need changing, engines require maintenance, etc. This Lazair was first built in 1982 and with continued maintenance should continue flying for many years to come. This is a great Ultralight! I will answer all questions as best I can.
