This SE5-A is a very nice looking single place bi-plane replica . The Original SE5-A was a WWI British Fighter with a mounted machine gun. Several pictures give Loehle facts and specifications on this aircraft. This particular Aircraft was built and partially covered at the factory. She is painted with the Loehle Aero Coatings paint system. This plane was built to be a factory demonstrator plane, but was sold to a Mr Macpherson instead. I purchased this craft from a Mr Creamean. We do not have a record of who may have owned it, if anyone, between these two gentlemen. This aircraft has a Rotax 503 engine with a reduction gearbox. When I bought the plane, I did not receive any log books for this SE5-A. Since I had no part in the construction of this aircraft , I accept no liability for this aircraft, or for the safety of anyone who flies it. It is with this understanding, that if you purchase this aircraft, then you assume and are responsible for all liabilities pertaining to this aircraft. Having said that, it is an attractive airplane, especially with the low price. According to the hour meter, it has less than 30 hours total time. I flew this aircraft several times, and after that, I allowed a friend to fly it. When I flew it, it was airborne in less than 100 feet according to a pilot friend who was observing. I found it easy to fly, but that is my opinion. The kit for this plane last year was $18,995, not including the labor and incidental expense to complete the craft, and also not including the cost of the engine or propeller, or the instruments.
