“Restoration from earlier S1C build using the fues only. Everything else is factory including most of fues. S1C fues is 2"shorter and lighter. No pilots over 6'0. S1S factory wings. S1T firewall forward with carbon fiber prop.”
Complete ground up restoration 2006 using a 1974 S1C fues that is 2"shorter. Factory S1S wings with new plywood leading edges (no nails) have 261hrs with inside light akro only. No snaps or outside. I fly the airplane so mild that I only have a lap belt installed. I will provide a new ratchet belt and shoulder harness and flying wire tension tool if sold at the asking price. I0360 200hp+ angle valve certified engine with 71 hrs smoh. 0smoh on Bendix mags with new impulse couplings (both) new iridium plugs with new ignition harness. new fuel pump, throttlebody, flow divider, new Teflon fire sleeved life time hoses. New tail wheel. New christen oil and fuel system with fuel selector and wobble pump. New ceramic coated tuned exhaust system. New carbon fiber prop. New fuel tank with flop tube. New center wing tank. New electric trim. Large factory rudder. New EI tach. New light weight starter, new miniature light weight 7 amp alternator. New light weight 760 freq radio. Filtered induction air. All hardware, cables, pulleys, nuts, bolts, flying wires, turnbuckles were replaced with new. Engine was overhauled in accordance with the Lycoming overhaul manual, NO EXPERIMENTAL parts used. Components were replaced/overhauled because of calendar dates not hours. This airplane is about a 100 lbs lighter than the S1T I have flown and much more nimble and faster. This airplane has been inspected by Pitts Guru"s and the following items were mentioned, Tailwheel should be changed to a larger for ground handling, Main tires should be changed to 6" instead of the 5" for ground handling, no transponder. I will include a yellow tagged transponder and encoder if sold at the asking price. It"s a Pitts, I don"t think the ground handling is any different, it tracks straight. There is a new 760 freq radio installed already. The airplane has been sold several times to wanta-be Pitts pilots. The Pitts is not hard to fly but if you can"t fly a Citabria forget it. If you show up with cash to fly the airplane out and have no tailwheel experience I will not sale you the airplane (happened). I could have also sold it several times to pilots over 6"2". If your over 6"1" forget about it without major work or leave the parachute on the ground. I will also ferry the airplane anywhere or disassemble/reassemble and ship. Any questions @ 209-326-7811.
