“Wing fabric (all sails), engine, instruments are all like new. Airframe is a tested and true 1985, with the much sought after fiberglass Spaulding Monofloat. Annual condition inspection was just completed. This plane is currently flying and producing grins for about $7.50 an hour for fuel. The airframe has the expected "wear", but no "tear". A few scratches, yes; but no missing parts (other than the ones I left in the hangar on purpose). I will include the original ugly cockpit fairing, full windshield, and aft bulkhead. But once you experience the current set-up, you wouldn't dream of putting them back on!” |

This is really two planes in one! Rigged with the float, I have landed in fishing spots "where perhaps no man has gone before". Rigged with the original landing gear with oversize Tundra tires (all included) I have landed on secluded beaches, and I have won every spot landing contest I have entered. With the huge flaps and low stall speed I have soared with osprey and bald eagles. I have flown and landed this plane in calm air, arms out, and hands off the yoke, with nothing but the throttle -- it is so stable and easy to fly! Stall speeds range from 28mph to 85mph "clean"! Can you tell yet that I love this plane?
A few of the features include: 129 hours (and counting) on brand new oil-injected Dual Carb, Dual Ignition Rotax 503 with C Box and RK 400 clutch, 3 - blade Warp Drive prop with milled and polished hub and spinner, ten gallon fuel tank (fuel burn is between 3 and 3.5 gallons per hour). Seat can be quickly adjusted for leg length and CG placement. Military style 4 point harness keeps you secure. I will include my Ultra-com helmet and com box, but you must supply the radio. The splash-proof instrument pod includes the essentials (left to right): compass, airspeed, altimeter (with pressure adjustment), Dual EGT, Dual CHT, tachometer and Hobbs hourmeter. (All instruments were new with the engine, prop and clutch re-power just 129 hours ago).
To minimize weight, I have not mounted but can include: full strut fairings, root tube mounted BRS 5 whole-plane parachute (date code expired 10-03) battery operated strobe lights, GPL electric starter, and ELT (emergecy locator transmitter). As mentioned above, I will include the original cockpit fairing, windshield and bulkhead in as-is condition. They have been stored unused for years, but if you ever wanted to fully-enclose the cockpit, you would need them.
This plane is fully legal, N-numbered and registered as "experimental - Light Sport. Therefore you can do your own maintenance, and with a weekend course of instruction you can get your "repairman" rating to do your own annual inspections. I have an enclosed trailer designed for aircraft transport, so we can negotiate delivery. If you are anywhere near the Gulf Coast "panhandle", I will gladly fly it to your field (or pasture). Come in person or send your representative to 82J in Pensacola and I will be happy to demonstrate on land and water.Try eight five-O, two eight one eighty-four fifteen. And please feel free to ask any questions.I"m confident that you will enjoy years of pleasure with this plane, just as I have!
P.S. If you want to get into this plane for about $3000 less, I can remount the former 503 DCDI which I just replaced, this one has the "B- box" (without clutch). I would keep the newer engine/clutch for my Kitfox, then you could fly for awhile until you re-power with an engine of your own choice. If that is what you would prefer, just notify me and I will adjust the price accordingly. Current date: 2015-09-14
