Rans S12 aircraft project, was once a flying aircraft, incurred a ground taxi mishap into another aircraft / hanger by previous Canadian owner. This airplane was registered in Canada under C-IEBN tail number, and is being sold as is, with no airworthiness or paperwork. It is a complete rebuild project, and consists of airframe only, no engine, no instruments. The structure is described as following:
Tail group is good, rudder / vertical fin / horizontal stab / elevators / flying wires all intact.
Tail boom has a ding and is considered unairworthy, might be salvageable.
Wings need a few ribs, and some structural tubing
Birdcage is excellent, no damage, no corrosion. I started to rebuild and stopped after sanding / prime / painting it, this looks like new.
New landing gear legs, new brakes, ready for assembly.
Flight controls for cabin are stripped and painted, great shape.
Needs new AN hardware throughout.
