Here is your chance to own a piece of aviation history. Up for auction is a 1971 Rotorway Scorpion 1 ultralight helicopter. I believe its a 1971 or close to it. This was a kit helicopter sold in the 70s to the home aviation enthusiasts and is one of the first ultralight helicopters to be offered to the general public. This helicopter is a project and does not currently run. It is loosely assembled for transportation purposes. Originally it had no issues and was disassembled 20+ years ago to be upgraded. From what I can tell it appears to be complete and only missing small hardware, I believe all of the major components are present. The leading edges on the main blades are rusty and corroded however there are 6 spare blades in good shape that are included in the sale. I also have several boxes full of parts that are not pictured. I also have a set of landing skis with hardware which can substitute the wheels. I purchased this machine as is and I have never seen it run. Please look at the photos carefully and ask any questions you may have. This is a NO RESERVE auction.
