I purchased it from an estate sale on my airport. It has been hangared for at least the last 35 years and I knew the previous two owners. It has only 1804 hours total time since new with complete log books since new. The aircraft has no damage history, corrosion or hail damage. This aircraft has the rare factory corrosion proof option. It has a new high quality paint job, all new glass, new interior and new standard configuration updated instrument panel with new digital gauges. The 210 HP Continental IO 360 D has only 394 hours total time since factory new and was removed from an undamaged aircraft. The firewall has been painted and the T-41 engine mount frame was powder coated. The engine was installed with complete factory new exhaust system, T-41 baffles and all new Lord mounts. It has an alternator and a new voltage regulator. The aircraft has a newly installed Horton STOL kit with new wing tips and strobes. It has new tires, brakes etc. and comes with newly painted wheel pants and mounting hardware. It has after market upgraded air vents and auxiliary seat stops. The following components are installed in the new powder coated updated instrument panel:-Clock-Turn coordinator -Directional Gyro w/ heading bug and auto pilot output-Artificial horizon w/ flag-Airspeed indicator-Altimeter-ARC VOR/LOC indicator-Narco VOR/LOC indicator-combination fuel flow / manifold pressure gauge-suction gauge-Mag compass-Mag / starter switch-fuel pump switch-King KMA 20 audio / marker panel-Narco Mark 12 D rack-Transponder rack-3 other racks-NAT intervox intercom-New mixture, prop and throttle cables-New Aerospace Logic digital instruments:ASL FP-100 Fuel pressure / ammeter ASL CHT-100 6 cylinder head temperature indicatorASL OL-100 oil pressure / temperature indicatorASL FL-100 lt & rat fuel quantity with flow indicatorASL EGT-100 6 cylinder exhaust gas temperature indicatorGlove box The required completion work is as follows:Wing tips, leading edges and stall fences need to be painted as the STOL kit was installed after the aircraft was paintedThe cowling needs to be pained and the top cowl needs fiberglass "clearance bumps" fabricated and installed as part of the engine conversion. The new digital gauges need to be connected. The senders have been installed and the wiring diagrams are included.Circuit breakers and switches are included but need to be installedStatic and pneumatic system needs to be plumbed behind panelNew voltage regulator ( included ) needs to be installed on firewallSome interior trim panels ( included ) need to be installed The engine has been running in this aircraft and the engine controls are rigged. The under floor header tank and boost pump has been installed. The McCauley prop that is on the aircraft now came from a Maule. It has the correct blades, spinner and bulkhead but the hub is about 2" longer than the one the STC calls for. It will work fine to ferry the aircraft but you will need to find a 2D34c67-N hub or a 2A346209 prop assy. This very light high HP Cessna with STOL kit would make an excellent bush or float plane. It has the tall gear and could be converted to a tail dragger. It has the desirable Johnson bar mechanical flaps. The 175 has more fuel capacity than the 172. You can complete the panel to your liking. I can provide hangar space for someone to do enough work on the aircraft to ferry it out. I estimate 2 to 3 days work on the instrumentation, panel etc to make it ferriable. There is a local fiberglass fabricator that could make the top cowl bumps for three or four hundred dollars. Or we would be happy to assist in wing removal and loading if you prefer to trailer it home. Questions please call Norman Earle at 386-689-0244 |
