Owned and up-kept by my father until his passing last year, this aircraft is an increasingly rare piece of American WWII history. This aircraft was flown by my father on a weekly basis and has been flown once a month since his passing in January 2016. Last Annual completed Nov "15. Appraised at $160,000, I have decreased the price by $40,000 to entice a speedy purchase and cover the costs that come with buying an aircraft. Of course, interested buyers are encouraged to inspect the aircraft in-person. I ask only that a $1000 deposit be made before inspection so that I know the buyer is serious. This deposit is made through Paypal and is fully refundable less the Paypal fees. I am available any weekend to meet perspective buyers for the inspection. Continuing with the purchase on this eBay page will commit you to the $1000 deposit (48 hours) and the purchase of the aircraft for the agreed amount within 14 days (assuming you are still interested after the inspection). In exchange, this eBay page will be removed to prevent competition. While I believe the listed price is fair to both parties, I am willing to negotiate. Should you require a payment plan, additional information, or would simply like to discuss the sale, please contact me, Bill Linsenmeyer, at 605-929-3729 or blinsenmeyer@gmail.com All standard payment methods are accepted. Wire transfer, cashiers check, or cash are preferred. The sales price we agree to is what I expect to receive and any fees incurred by the payment method are to be covered by the buyer - such as the 2.9% fee for Paypal transactions.
More About the T-6 The North American T-6 is a single-engine, two seat advanced trainer aircraft. It was manufactured and used to train fighter pilots of the United States and Britain during World War II. Designed by North American Aviation, it remains a popular warbird aircraft. T-6"s saw active duty in Korea and to a lesser extent Vietnam as forward air control vehicles. Since the Second World War, the T-6 has been a recurring sight at air shows, as well as many movies. It has appeared in Tora! Tora! Tora! and The Final Countdown. The “Roaring 40s” New Zealand Warbirds aerobatic team use T-6"s. The Reno National Air Races also have a class specifically for the T-6 for their National Air Races each year.
