Owned and up-kept by my father until his passing last year, this aircraft is an increasingly rare piece of American WWII history. This aircraft was flown by my father on a weekly basis and has been flown once a month since his passing in January 2016 - until falling out of annual in November. Appraised at $160,000 in July, I have decreased the price by $30,000 to entice a speedy purchase and cover repair costs. There are two major outstanding issues with the aircraft: As of November 2016, this aircraft now requires its annual inspection. The most recent annual was completed by Armesy Services on 11/01/2015 A repair to 3 of the engine cylinders is now required before flight - as well as several smaller repairs. Estimated cost for the annual & repairs is $10k-$12k. Full details on the required repairs can be found in the report which is linked above. Of course, interested buyers are encouraged to inspect the aircraft in-person. I ask only that a $1000 deposit be made before inspection so that I know the buyer is serious. This deposit is made through Paypal and is fully refundable less the Paypal fees. My brother, Brig. Gen. Stephen J. Linsenmeyer U.S. Air Force, or my sister-in-law will be available in Marco Island to assist with the inspection. Continuing with the purchase on this eBay page will commit you to the $1000 deposit (48 hours) and the purchase of the aircraft for the agreed amount within 14 days (assuming you are still interested after the inspection). In exchange, this eBay page will be removed to prevent competition. While I believe the listed price is fair to both parties, I am willing to negotiate. Should you require a payment plan, additional information, or would simply like to discuss the sale, please contact me, Bill Linsenmeyer, at 605-929-3729 or blinsenmeyer@gmail.com All standard payment methods are accepted.
