This Bonanza has been extensively updated. The engine is the highly desirable Continental IO-520BB, which is 285 HP, with the big main journal crankshaft and heavy case. The engine only has 62 hours since major by Aero Engines of Winchester (certified repair station). At the time of overhaul, factory new Millennium Cylinders were installed, and all of the accessories were done. In addition to the engine upgrade, most V-35B mods have been installed (see list above). This Bonanza also has many Beryl D,Shannon mods highlighted by the canted tip tanks. These tanks add 30 gallons of usable fuel for a total of 94 usable. Just as importantly, this tank STC adds 300 pounds of load carrying capacity to the aircraft (gross weight increase). This plane will carry 4 people over 1000 miles at speeds up to 175 knots! The avionics have also been updated with current generation digital units. The GNS 430 installation is complete less the panel unit. This is the only older Bonanza we have owned with the HSI plus FLIGHT DIRECTOR. Also the Yaw Damper is a huge addition, as you Bonanza pilots know.Unfortunately, this Bonanza was involved in an inadvertent gear retraction last year. This resulted in a prop strike and minor sheet metal damage. Sheet metal damage was confined to the inboard, bottom trailing edge of the LH flap, the inboard gear doors, and the nose gear doors, with some minor scraping on each side of the wheel well. There was no skin damage to the belly, as the inboard gear doors held the belly off the ground. The main gear retract rods and inboard gear doors have been replaced, and the gear is currently operational. The plane has been flown 3 hours on the ferry flight to Tennessee, and ready for you to ferry to your location. This Bonanza is the best equipped older Bonanza we have seen in some time. It is virtually indistinguishable from a late model plane. With very little work, this plane could be returned to service as a fantastic cross country machine for tens of thousands of dollars below market value. We have tried to accurately describe this aircraft, but highly recommend inspection before bidding. A 10% deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction close; balance is due within 10 days. We reserve the right to end auction early as aircraft may be advertised elsewhere.
