This is a WACO UPF-7 project with an international
history. This aircraft, along with five
others, was sold to the Nicaraguan Air Force in 1940 and has just now arrived
back in the States via Australia. The fuselage
has been sandblasted, repaired, and primed with epoxy primer. The wings are good for patterns, and new Sitka
spruce for the spars and ribs is supplied.
Several of the instruments have been overhauled as have the throttle
quadrants. A new engine dishpan is
supplied. Along with the ailerons,
rudder, elevators, wheels, brakes, and landing gear are several spares of those
items. In fact, there are duplicates of many
parts and components. The engine is a
mid-time Jacobs R755B2 (275 hp) overhauled by Jacobs Service Co., and the
constant speed propeller is a Hamilton Standard 2B20-15. If you have questions please feel free to email, and the
aircraft is available for inspection at the Radial Engines, Ltd. facility in
Guthrie, OK. The entire project will fit
into a U-Haul truck, and we will be available to assist with loading. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! Current date: 2018-01-04
