fff03 (2106 ) 100% Visit Store: Dankim Industries Items On Sale Up for bids is a vintage 1972 BEDE BD-5 BD-5B Long Wing W/ Stretch Kit Single engine experimental aircraft. Most
of this airplane is still new in original boxes and packaging. I believe it is as complete as
you can find. I obtained it from original owner who was in the USAF and also a
pilot. He purchased it directly from Bede. in 1972. Very
small partial build on the tail (in jig) and I believe the engine compartment.
Original gauges, landing gears, tires, plans, etc., Even the Clecos. This is the BD-5B
version with the longer wings and the stretch kit. Will not part out. Pick up
only. Serious inquiries only. You can also see this on the Barnstormers website with pictures. As with all the Bede kits, you have to furnish the drivetrain. Many use a Subaru or Honda engine. Other than a built plane, I believe this is complete, I was told it was, the gentleman was 90 years old and sharp as a tack! I purchased it here in the Colorado Springs Colorado area at an estate sale right out of the basement of his house. He did a small start on the project when he purchased it but later went into the gliding side of aviation. Was kept in storage ever since. the early 70"s. He had Bede do some work (drill holes) on the landing gear area at the Bede factory. There is a ton here and extras. If your looking for this type of aircraft I do not believe you can find a better candidate. This is a local pick up only, I was able to load and transfer it all in the back of a pick up with the tailgate down. I know the way to sell this is to part it out, but due to its completeness I will sell it only as a unit, please don"t ask to part or buy a specific piece. All sales will be final.
