This Tailwind was started in 1959 and never finished. All major structural airframe components are finished along with flight controls/ linkage.It"s complete with engine mount, landing gear legs, wheels and brakes, tailwheel(Maule),with springs, lift struts, ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators and rudder.Welding is Excellent. Wood work on the wings is excellent and was done with Rescorsenol adhesive, to standards per AC 43.13 1b then well varnished.
The mount appears to be for C-85 or O-200, but could be altered for any of the higher powered Lycomings.The lower skin of each wing has a handling "ding" that will be easy to repair.
All that"s left to do are the time consuming details like, plumbing for instruments, engine controls, baffles, exhaust, etc, and of course, fabric.
The kit from Aircraft Spruce for this airplane is $6,000. Then you"d have to build it. The kit would not include things like landing gear, wheels, brakes, tailwheel, etc.
