This is a very rare Cobra Helicopter Kit that was never completed. This 2 seat helicopter kit would make a great build I just have too many projects. I have no logs or history and this is being sold as is for parts or repair with no warranties or guarantees.
It is made primarily of Composite construction combined with 4130 chromoly framework. It is designed to use a Lycoming O-320 engine that is not included. This kit is not complete. There is no engine, engine cover, blades, tail rotor assembly, canopy, controls, rotor head as well as many other pieces. It does have a full instrument panel with artificial horizon. This is a good start at a reasonable price for a partial helicopter kit. Many Baby Belle, Commuter 2 and Safari Parts will bolt on two this airframe. Unlike an R22 or 300c there are no belts to rely on as this uses a oil bath gearbox, centrifugal clutch and sprague clutch. There is a very rough set of blueprints that come with it but that is all I have for it paperwork wise and I am happy to write up a Bill of Sale. Although the pictures show the tail rotor gearbox assembly and tail rotor they are not included but everything else in the pictures are! The last picture of a completed helicopter is there only as a representation of the completed kit. A new Safari Kit cost over $145K and when this kit is completed it will be far more aerodynamic. Unlike a Robinson kit you don"t have to rely on belts! This will need to be removed within a week of payment clearing.
