We have a Provost MK4 cold war-era trainer for sale. Airplane flys great!
The aircraft is powered by a Bristol Siddeley / Rolls Royce Viper turbojet engine that is nearly bullet proof.
Year of Construction: 1965 Airframe total time: 5938.2 Total Time Engine: 1,437 Hours
There were a large number of Provost aircraft produced, hence the availability of spare parts and maintenance is good. Moreover, as a training aircraft, it is comparably cheap to operate and not very “thirsty” and is good-natured and therefore easy to fly.
One thing sets the Jet Provost apart from the other military jet trainers, the side-by-side seating arrangement. Second, the view from the cockpit is superb.
The plane has a lengthy history in the RAF, google XR701 Jet Provost and look at all the Pics and information available on her. Lots of Provenance.
Comes with copies of many maintenance manuals and parts manuals.
Seats have been de-activated but are complete.
BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FROM NEW / RELATIVELY NEW E-BAY ACCOUNTS WITHOUT HAVING PRIOR DISCUSSION WITH THE SELLER
