Make: Starduster

This is a Starduster One (SA100) which was damaged in an off airport landing. It was a precautionary forced landing when an oil hose came loose, dumping hot oil on the exhaust causing lots of smoke and fear of fire. The chosen field was rougher than expected and the plane was damaged. The damage appears to be limited to the top right wingtip (needs new spars), left landing gear, aft fuselage, and nose cowl, with one cabane strut damaged during recovery. The engine was shut down before landing and the propeller and spinner are undamaged.
The O-290-G engine was run after the accident, refilled with preservative oil, and fogged. Aircraft & engine have roughly 600 hours. The landing gear had been replaced shortly before the accident and the plane was put back on the original gear so it can be moved around. I intended to rebuild it myself and fly it again but I just don"t have the time. With engine, propeller, streamline wires, all instruments & avionics, wheels, brakes, etc., this project can get you in the air much faster than cheaper than buying new parts. Local pickup only.
