You are bidding on a 1966 pa 28 140 that was in the keys of Florida when the last tropical storm hit. The plane was not damaged but as it was in for an annual, the cowling happened to be off. And the spinner is missing as well. The plane was not submerged and we would have located a cowling and flown it home without hardly any trouble at all. We purchased the plane from the insurance company, with the data plate removed so this plane may or not be considered parts or a complete plane. There have been cases where the data plate has been reissued. 4100 total time on the plane and 700 since major on the engine. Narco mk12d navcom, Narco at150 transponder, The aircraft has been disassembled and is on a trailer at our shop in Morristown tn. We have all of the log books for The plane, . Also have another Fuselage with a data plate. Paint is tired as well as interior.
last annual was in 9/16 so the plane has not been sitting around for years. all of the compressions were 74 and higher so the engine is still healthy in my opinion.
