2007 Zenith 701. Plane has 180 hours. It is equipped with the 100 hp rot ax 912 uls engine which is the absolute best engine for this plane. It has a Sensenich ground adjustable prop that gives the plane a top speed of 98 mph with wheels and 87 mph on floats. The floats are Czech 1150s with hydraulic manual amphibious gear. With its tri design, landing an land is still easy and predictable, unlike some amphibious float planes. Plane also comes with robust 21 inch tundra tires with the one piece spring gear for great land flying and the awesome STOL capabilities make this plane take off and land where most planes can only fly over. The interior is fresh and in good condition. Upholstery is like new. Has steam gauges as well as a mode C transponder. Electric trim gives a great feel for longer runs, and full visibility makes this plane great for taking in the awesome scenery that this "sky jeep" makes you feel a part of.
Plane has normal scratches and such as it is an off airport plane. The floats are awesome, and switching to regular gear takes only a few hours. The plane is ready to fly home, or the wings remove in less than an hour should you decide to trailer it. I love this plane, but I own two and one has to go. The other plane is used for "family trips" so my good friend the 701 will have to leave to make some space. The annual was performed in March and is Current. An Lsa pilot can fly this plane. To fly floats, a short training and checkout process is required. I am not a trainer, so yo are on your own. This auction sale will mean that the plane is being sold as is with no warranties.
