This aircraft was owned and loved by an IA / A&P mechanic and was in the same family for two generations over many decades.
The plane was based in Idaho for years and then they moved to CA.
In 1993 the Engine was Zero Timed and then the owner had to move 3 hours away. The owner/ IA mechanic began polishing and cleaning the surfaces of the aircraft. Due to the distance he lived from the airplane he decided to remove the tail section and polish it at home. His health and life changed and the plane sat with the tail off since 1994. Though not on the aircraft right now, the tail is included in the sale, of course.

Though the engine runs perfectly this plane has not had an annual inspection for many years and is not currently airworthy. Buyer will likely be wise to plan to trailer this plane off the airport.
Tie down is available from Byron airport for $40 per month if you need time to plan to remove it.
