“Prop-strike inspection required. Minor sheet metal repair.”
Make: Cessna Model Year: 1962
Up for you consideration is a 1962 Cessna 210C model. TTAF with 6120. TTSFRE 8.0 (eight). This aircraft has suffered from a prop strike. As you can see, the damage on the belly of the plane was limited to 2 feet aft the pilot"s position. As the story goes, the previous pilot had made contact with the runway and forgot to put the landing gear down. During his flair, he had noticed the prop starting to make contact with the ground, he then applied power hence climbing out. He then immediately lowered the landing gear, and then preformed a normal landing. As you can clearly see, there is no damage done to the front landing gear doors whatsoever. After landing, he taxied over to his hanger and shut the engine down. During the prop strike, the engine never shut down until the pilot came to a complete stop at his hanger. As you can see, this aircraft has been housed in a hanger for most of its life. It received a paint job circa 2006. The custom interior and all windows were replaced at the time the paint job was done along with additional sound proofing. This plane is impeccably clean. It has every option known to Cessna including ETT(Electric trim tabs) and a 250 mile strike finder. The engine burns 12 and 1/2 gallons an hour at a 165 kts cruise. This is a pronominal traveling machine. These are the more desirable 210 Cessna"s based upon their landing gear history. The engine was recently installed in May 2015; everything has been either replaced or rebuilt, firewall forward. IFR certification is good until the end of 2016 and the annual is good until June 2016. At current, you will have to do a prop strike inspection. We have located a serviceable propeller for this plane for $3,500. We have already checked the crank flange and falls within factory specs at .002. A serviceable prop can be installed and flown anywhere to have remaining repairs completed. This aircraft is located in Mirana, Arizona. It currently resides in a hanger.
