Complete Aircraft, TO PART (or not) ~ 6197 TTA&E, 251 SMOH by Firewall Forward, IO-520-BA, (BORESCOPED AOK); new oil & filter; 251 SPOH, 3-Blade McCauley 3A32C76-5-M; old King radios; not flown past 18 years due owner loosing medical; accumulation of dust, on top surfaces, retained moisture, causing several areas of light corrosion on upper skins; 95% of corrosion removed/properly eradicated, now clean metal - "the corrosion is not" an issue, as is evident in the accompanying photos; needs P&I, ruddervators, strut seals, throttle/prop/cowl flap cables, etc, NDH except some rash described in specs (attached). Have Prop Log & Eng O/H records, but no airframe/engine logs.NDH (other than the rash, described under “exterior," in the details, below) – The Airframe is solid, but given the time out of service, (owner/pilot’s last flight-log book entry dated 11-24-2001) , IT NEEDS A LOT , including, BUT FAR FROM LIMITED TO : strip & paint; complete interior; ruddervators (they won"t pass) - trim tabs are very good; throttle, prop, cowl flap &, possibly, the alt air control cables; battery; prop overhaul (for good measure/due time out of service); nosebowl & nosebowl grill repair or replacement (due to dents, not caused while aircraft in motion – nosebowl would have to be removed to repair); landing gear strut seals; brakes serviced; MLG actuators rods cleaned/stripped; landing gear may need to be rigged; probably some instrument overhauls; position light lenses (hazed); the fuel cells may require overhauls or replacement (no leaks, apparent, but the tanks are not full – left fuel gage indicates ¼, right indicates ½); avionics upgrades; equipment list/wt. & bal generated; an extensive, annual inspection and certs, as required. Other items will need to be inspected/overhauled/replaced as may be required due to condition and/or for AD compliance, ETC … Prop Log is on hand – it indicates last 100 hour entry dated 6-1-94, but engine and airframe logs are not immediately available and are unlikely to be made available due their being inadvertently stored-away, in Nebraska. Have all 337’s & AD compliance record, dated June, 1994, as well as yellow tags for all engine accessories from when the engine was overhauled by Firewall Forward. Don’t know date of last annual inspection, though, online records show last certification date as 4-21-98.
