I have a 1966 Piper Cherokee 140 with a Lycoming O-320 for sale with 8600 Hours Total Time and 705 Hours Since Major Overhaul. This Cherokee is a project airplane and has been out of annual for a 3 and a half years. The last annual inspection was completed in August of 2016. This Cherokee is equipped with a KLN90B GPS and two Narco MK12D Radios, Narco AT150 Transponder. Has wheel pants, pilot side toe brakes, and wingtip strobes. The glass is in excellent shape all around. The paint on this aircraft is in very poor condition on the top of the fuselage, elevator, and vertical stabilizer (Please see pics). The interior is in very good shape with no rips, tears, or stains. Has a very well organized and complete set of logs since new, with AD list, and other information. This Cherokee also includes the Auto Gas STC to run automobile fuel. This would make a great project for an A&P or someone familiar with aircraft. Please do not bid on this aircraft if you are new to aviation or are unfamiliar with aircraft. I believe that it will not take much to get this aircraft back flying but will take some labor or the know how. The things I am aware of that I believe it will need are a new front tube for the tire and the front strut may need a new seal. Also I found a hole in the left tank fuel line and the tank appears to have some debris of rust inside so it may need to be cleaned out. Other than that my knowledge is very limited on this Cherokee. I just purchased a brand new sealed Gill battery and put in the plane. I bought this as a project aircraft for myself but recently moved states for a job so I do not have the time or capability to do anything with it at this time. It is centrally located at the Guthrie airport just north of Oklahoma City. Feel free to call me with any questions and I will try to answer to the best of my ability. And please serious inquiries only, I am very busy and do not have a lot of time to talk or text. (405) 315 - 7302.
As for bidding on this plane, again please be familiar with aircraft and have your finances in order to follow through with the transaction. There is a $1,000 dollar deposit required at the end of the auction. If you want to look at the aircraft you must do so before bidding. Once the auction ends you are responsible for paying for the aircraft and of course picking it up. It can remain on the field at Guthrie airport (KGOK) for $20 dollars a month for as long as you need. Thank You
