THE DG AND ELECTRIC TURN CO-ORDINATOR ARE REMOVED, AND ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS LISTING
THIS AIRPLANE SUFFERED ISOLATED DAMAGE WHILE PARKED IN A HANGER!!
WIND KNOCKED A TRI-PACER PARKED AHEAD OF THIS AIRPLANE INTO THE NOSE SLIGHTLY, AND PUSHED IT BACK AGAINST OBSTRUCTIONS BEHIND THE MOONEY.
DAMAGE IS AS FOLLOWS:
THE SPINNER BACKING PLATE IS DENTED, AND THE FORWARD BULKHEAD IS BENT, BUT AS THE SPINNER WAS REMOVED AT THE TIME, IT WAS NOT DAMAGED !!!
THE PROP ITSELF IS NOT DAMAGED, WHICH IS FORTUNATE, BECAUSE IT IS A LOW TIME,(120 HOURS SINCE OVERHAUL) SUPER LATE-MODEL VERSION WITH "SCIMITAR" BLADES !! NO EXPENSIVE A.D. TO COMPLY WITH ON THIS "NEWEST HUB/ NEWEST BLADES" DESIGN !!!!
THESE BLADES DECREASE THE SOUND LEVEL, WHILE ALLOWING FOR A FASTER CRUISE SPEED, WITH NO DECREASE IN CLIMB
THERE IS A VERY SMALL DING IN THE AIR FILTER SCREEN AREA ON THE BOTTOM COWL, BUT NO SERIOUS DAMAGE, AND THE COWL WILL NOT REQUIRE REPLACEMENT
THE AIRFRAME DAMAGE IS ON THE REAR OF THE AIRPLANE, WHERE THE RUDDER IS BENT. THE VERTICAL FIN DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE ANY DEFORMATION.
THE HORIZONTAL IS OK, BUT THE TAILCONE UNDER THE HORIZONTAL IS DENTED ON THE RIGHT SIDE FROM PUSHING AGAINST AN ITEM ON THE FLOOR OF THE HANGER. THIS IS A NON-STRUCTURAL "FAIRING" AREA
THIS SAME ITEM PUSHED THE FAR AFT TAILCONE IN SLIGHTLY ON THE BOTTOM TAILCONE SKIN, AND JUST FORWARD OF THAT THE BOTTOM TAILCONE SKIN IS SLIGHTLY PUSHED UP. THE SIDE AND TOP SKINS OF THE TAILCONE ARE SEPERATE FROM THE DAMAGED BOTTOM SKIN, AND THEY WERE NOT DAMAGED, SO REPAIR WILL BE JUST THAT AFT BOTTOM SKIN.
THE RIGHT ELEVATOR AND THE RIGHT FLAP EACH HAVE TWO SPOTS ON THIER TRAILING EDGES WHERE THE FLANGE IS SLIGHTLY BENT DOWN. BOTH THESE SURFACES AND ALL FOUR OF THESE SPOTS SHOULD SIMPLY STRAIGHTEN OUT, WITHOUT RESKINNING OR REPLACEMENT.
THE BALANCE OF THE AIRFRAME, INCLUDING WINGS, CABIN, LANDING GEAR, ENGINE, ENGINE MOUNT, FIREWALL, PROP, ETC. ARE UNDAMAGED
