For your consideration is a 1975 Cessna 177B. This aircraft sustained damage due to departing the runway after landing. It went into a grassy ditch where the nose gear bent the firewall slightly. The engine did not sustain a "propeller strike." The propeller did act like a "weed wacker," but no damage is evident.The engine is the famed 0-360-AIF6D 180 H.P, Lycoming. There are 113.5 hours SMOH with a total of 4030.5 hours on the airframe. The damage consists of some stress buckling on the lower firewall along with some on the rear fuselage. All is repairable with a qualified A/P who does sheet metal. Estimated damage is between $11-15k. The overall condition of this Cardinal is exceptional with an exterior paint of 7-8/10. The interior is deep red and also is estimated on a 8/10 scale. No evident rips or tears in seats or upholstery.
