ENGINES MAKES THE COUGAR A PERFECT FIT FOR A PARTNERSHIP OR A SMALL FLIGHT SCHOOL LOOKING TO ADD A TWIN TO THEIR FLEET!THIS AIRCRAFT, DESIGNED AND BUILT 10 YEARS OR MORE AFTER THE TWIN COMANCHE, AND WITHOUT THE CRITICAL LAMINAR FLOW WING OF THE COMANCHE WHICH MAKES LANDINGS HARD TO TAME, WOULD BE EVEN MORE COMMON IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE TIMEFRAME IN WHICH THEY WERE PRODUCED (1978 AND 1979 ONLY), THE TIME OF 20% INTEREST!AS A RESULT, ONLY 115 WERE PRODUCED. MANY PEOPLE HAVE NEVER EVEN SEEN ONE!THIS AIRPLANE HAS A LOW TOTAL TIME OF 3525 HIURS SINCE NEW.IT HAS HAD AN INCIDENT, BUT NOT AN ACCIDENT, AND IN FACT HAS NO AIRFRAME DAMAGE AT ALL!!THE PILOT SIMPLY OVERRAN THE RUNWAY AT THE MARSHALL MICHIGAN AIRPORT AFTER LANDING.HE WENT BETWEEN THE RUNWAY END LIGHT, BUT DID KNOCK THE TOP OFF ONE.THERE IS NO VISIBLE OR KNOWN DAMAGE TO THE AIRFRAME AS A RESULT OF THIS OVVERRUN. THE GEAR STAYED UNDER THE AIRPLANE AND THE AIRPLANE RAN OFF A LITTLE WAY INTO THE GRASS.THE RIGHT PROP HAS A BEND ON 1 BLADE, BUT NOT THE OTHER. THE OTHER BLADE ON THE RIGHT PROP AND BOTH BLADES ON THE LEFT PROP HAVE EROSION ON THE LEADING EDGES OF THE TIPS, AS THE PILOT, HOPING TO COVER HIS ERROR (AND UNAWARE THAT ONE BLADE WAS ALREADY BENT, TRIED TO DRIVE OUT OF THE GRASS, THROUGH A SWALE. HE TRIED A COUPLE OF TIMES BEFORE SOMEONE ON THE GROUND TOLD HIM TO SHUT THE ENGINES DOWN, AND EACH TIME, A LITTLE BIT OF DIRT WAS THROWN UP, HENCE THE EROSION.SO THE RIGHT ENGINE WAS STRUCK, AS SHOWN, BUT THE LEFT ENGINE DIDN’T STOP OR BEND THE PROP AT ALL, SO??THERE IS NO OTHER ISSUE WITH THIS AIRFRAME!INSIDE THE INTERIOR APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL ORANGE WITH CLOTH INSERTS, AND AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, IT IS SERVICABLE BUT NOT GREAT.THE DASH IS CLEAN AND NICE, AND THE AIRPLANE IS EQUIPPED WITH THE CENTURY 3 3 AXIS AUTOPILOT WITH ALTITUDE HOLD AND AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL ELECTRIC PITCH TRIM, A REALLY GOOD SYSTEM!ALSO INSTALLED IS A KING ELECTRIC KCS-55A HSI SYSTEM, A NARCO NAV-122 STAND ALONE VOR/LOCALIZER/GLIDESLOPE INDICATOR RECEIVER, AS WELL AS ALL FLIGHT AND ENGINE INSTRUMENTATION.BUT THERE ARE NO RADIOS INSTALLED OR INCLUDED.THE OWNER REMOVED THE LATE MODEL GARMIN STUFF AFTER THE INCIDENT AND THEY ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE.
