For your consideration is this CESSNA 172RG CUTLASS 1980 Model. For most of its life this airplane was used as a trainer & rentals. I have owned it since about the year 2000. Among other owners was American Flyers. During the years I owned it I did train myself most of the advanced students on it and the plane was treated with care and respect.
The plane is located in Fort Worth Texas where it has been since I owned it. The plane has been sitting since 2005 and as a result I am selling it as is as a project. Last flight was 08-31-2005. The grounding of the plane was due to an expensive Prop. AD which was later completed and then the closure of my business (Flight Training & Aircarft Rentals).

PROPELLER:
Constant speed propeller, 2 blades.
PROP TTSN ?
SMOH 0 done in 2009 ($1835) at BYAM PROP. (can"t find logbook but may know where it"s at). The shop is still in business and would have a copy of the work done.
AIRFRAME / EXTERIOR:
AIRFRAME TT 14467.2
AIRFRAME is fine, the only true cosmetic damage is pictured near the strut fairing. The aluminum is damaged and needs a patch (under strut fairing). It does not affect airworthiness, I bought the plane like that. The paint needs a very good wax job or the paint job can be redone, up to you!
INTERIOR:
Interior is obviously older made with fabric and vinyl recalling the outside paint job. The dash board / intstrument cover on top of the instrument panel is made of vinyl and has many cracks, will need to be re-covered with new vinyl. Most interior plastics are old and need replacement. Will try to load some pics asap.
INSTRUMENTS / AVIONICS:
Instruments are the typical ones you find on a 1980 172RG. A gyro may be inop / missing, need to check.

AD"s were current when it last flew. Last flight was 08-31-2005. The landing gear AD regarding the pivots was completed and one was replaced after inspection.
Plane will need to be loaded on a trailer asap. Once the sale is completed I can"t be responsible for tiedown / hangar fees. past the end of March.
The plane had a few nose gear issues in the 80"s and 90"s and was prof. repaired per FAA standards. (Engine overhaul / prop. replacement etc.)
Having issues locating they keys for the plane but will do my best to find them.
DOCUMENTS:
I have the Airworthiness Certificate & Registration.
I have all the Logbooks except that Prop. one, still looking for it.
