This is an aluminum block Chevy crate engine that was converted by Northwest Aero Products for use in an experimental aircraft. It has a propeller speed reduction unit(PSRU) which was also made by Northwest Aero. It has dual redundant Haltech ECUs all engine accessories and even a compressor if you want to have air conditioning. It comes with aluminum racing radiators. It also has a motor mount that was for a Wheeler Express from what I am told, but might be possible to use it for a different aircraft. However, the motor mount is cut in a couple of places, so it will have to be rewelded in order to use it. I had the entire setup weighed at the local scrap yard and it came in at 570Lbs. This would be a great way to have a high horsepower engine for your project at a fraction of the cost of a Lycoming or Continental in the same power range. This engine is basically new and has never been installed or run other than on a test stand. Would be a great way to power your aircraft, air boat or even a kit car, though it would have to be reworked for a car.
